Book Sales

My first print run of 100 copies sold out, but I have had a second printing of an additional 250 copies done this year. So more are available, now at a cost of $20 CAD. My second book, Twelve Steps for Everyday Living, is now available for purchase for $15 CAD. It is my attempt, based on my experience and those who've been a part of my recovery journey, to transform the 12 Steps into a tool for anyone to use to navigate the challenges and trials of life.

Review it? Do you have a copy and enjoy what you have read? Can you help me promote it by leaving a good review at Goodreads (https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/21939460-lean-on-me)? Thanks for your support.

In other news, after a long debate and some peer pressure, I have started a second blog, along the same vein as Lean on Me, but in my second language. You can check it out here - Tomber dans l'appui.

”Life’s most persistent and urgent question is ‘What are you doing for others?’”
Martin Luther King Jr.
Reaching a more stable point in my life makes me ask the question “What next?” The program knows the answer, and it’s all captured in the 12th Step, “carrying the message to others.” The implication here is that now that the program has helped me rise out of my own pit of despair, I have a certain duty to share my message, strength and hope with others.
My service work doesn’t have to stop at the doors of my meetings though. Being a grateful recovering sex addict hasn’t just improved me in terms of my addictive behaviours, but as a whole person. I am living more authentically in all aspects of my life. I have rediscovered talents and abilities within me that are meant to be shared with the world. In essence my spiritual awakening has been about the journey of learning how I am meant to serve my Higher Power.
Being open to the will of the God of my understanding, listening for the good orderly direction in my mediation and reflection, is the primer for me to serve my fellow man. I am less self-centered than I used to be and more selfless – I want to share the happiness, joy and wisdom that has blessed my recovery and returned me to the person I was always meant to be.
Affirmation
It is in giving that we receive; my gift of recovery is priceless. I can never repay the debt but I will share with any willing to listen.
